Dates

Tonight Johns sister Leslie is coming over to watch the kids so John and I can go on a date. Well, as I was trying to think of something to do without spending a lot of money I realized I had no ideas. Its cold outside so we cant really walk outside. Plus, movies and eating out will kill the bank. So does anyone have any creative ideas for us??

Go to Barnes and Noble, drink hot chocolate and share your ideas on books that you look at. I like to write down recipes while I'm there. Maybe John could show you recipes that he likes. You know a mans stomach and all. Have fun!! love you! Holly

Anna, I have no suggestions for date night. Michael and I are so bad at this. We like to go to dinner, and we like to go to movies, both of which are expensive.

Michael really enjoys games, so he's been teaching me how to play some of them so that I can enjoy playing (I can actually go into the game thinking I have a chance to win). We're limited there, though, because the scope of what I'll play is not nearly as large as his. It's good focused time for us to spend together, but doesn't usually involve our leaving the house, which may kill it as a date night. I hope you have a good time.

I'm so glad you're doing this blog, by the way.

Hey Anna,

I saw your post about going to the movies and wanted to let you know about a dollar movie theater (Carmike) that's up by the Galleria---I went there the other nite w/some friends and they actually had a really good selection of movies.
